how much $ do you think it would cost to have an average width (maybe 5 inches) of crown moulding put in my entire 3000sq.ft. home? I want to compare your estimates with the estimate i got today. thanks (living room, kitchen, dining, den, 4 bedroom,2 hall ways, 2 bathrooms and 1 half bath.

1According to 2006 RS Means construction pricing sourcebook (a standard reference in construction) 11/16" x 4 5/8" pine crown molding costs $5.45 per linear foot. You can measure it off, by my house is 3,000 sf, and as I recall, I think I had 1,100 LF of wall, which would mean you price would be about $5,995.00
