My fiance' is a carpenter and interested in teaching it at a voc tech school in a couple years. Does anyone know the courses or steps that he needs to take?

1I teach at a two-year tech school and know that most of our instructors in the trades areas have a ton of experience, but not necessarily any formal education. He would need to be able to teach math courses for carpenters (with fractional math.)
The two colleges I have worked at you could gain your teaching certification while you were employed. The teaching certification classes were free courses offered by the college (and other local colleges.)

I have been a carpenter for over 50 years and I teach carpentry from the simple task of correctly measuring and marking a board, correct and safe usuage of a circular saw and goes on to laying out plates, framing, drywall, stairbuilding and all areas of construction.
